TeXPLORE :
It is a technical event.
• Main objective of this event is to test the participant’s technical skill.
• Participants should be well versed in raw material, spinning, weaving, knitting, chemical processing, garmenting, operational measures and textile engineering.
ROUND 1:
• Prelims will be conducted.
• A team of 2 members will be formed.
• Each team would be given a set of question paper containing 25 multiple choice objective questions.
• Time limit – 20 minutes.
• Top teams would be selected for next round.
ROUND 2:
• It a Dumb charade type of round.
• One member of the team will be presented with 4 power point slides consisting of pictures/textile terms.
• The other team member should guess the answer while his/her teammate will be describing the answer using relative terms.
• Teams will be awarded 10 marks for correct answer. Answering time is only 30 seconds.
• Top teams will be selected for the final round.
ROUND 3:
• Selected teams will have the treasure hunt consisting of 6-7 clues, each one leading to the next clue (each team will be given a specific colour and they are requested to find treasure as per the colour allotted)
• Each correctly solved clue carries 10 points and the final treasure carries 70 points.
• The clues are to be found in a particular order.
• All the clues of the teams are different and located at different place.
• Time limit is 30 minutes.
RULES :
A team shall compriseof maximum two persons.
• The decision of the event master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
• The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
• The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, true/false statement, logo identification, specific answer question etc.
• A team cannot skip a clue. Skipping of clue leads to disqualification of the team.
• Do not search for clues in off-limit areas.
• Participants are requested to bring the Bank account details (Bank Name, Branch, Account holder name, Account number, IFSC Code) for crediting the prize amount
TEXaholic :
It’s a technical event. Main objective of this event is to test the participant’s presentation skills and to judge their reasoning abilities. Participants should be well versed in communication skills and they should be strong in a particular topic which they are going to present. They should be aware of innovative research work that’s being done in textile field and shall express their innovative skills during their presentation. The event consists of two rounds. Top teams will be selected for the second round. Prizes will be awarded based on the cumulative performances of both the rounds. All participants will be provided with participation certificates.

Abstracts should be sent to ttapsgtech@gmail.com on/before 15.02.2018
• The selected teams will be intimated within 16.02.2018
• Participants should bring two hard copies of the paper on the
day of the event.
• Participants should bring the soft copy of their presentation
in PowerPoint format only.
• Participants are requested to bring the Bank account details (Bank Name, Branch, Account holder name, Account number, IFSC Code) for crediting the prize amount

How to reach PSG TECH Campus ?
Bus: Town buses will be available from 05.00 A.M to 10.00 P.M from Singanallur, Gandhipuram and Ukkadam Bus stations to Peelamedu.
Train: Coimbatore Junction is well connected with all cities and towns through railways.Town Buses will be available to Peelamedu from Coimbatore Junction. Passenger trains are also available to Peelamedu Railway Station.
Cabs and Autos: Cab services such as Uber, Ola, Red Taxi,Jugnoo and Auto services are always available.
