Details:INQUIZITION is the National Level Quizzing Extravaganza organized by Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication Bengaluru's (SIMC-B) Media Trainees at the Symbiosis Campus in Electronic City, Bengaluru.

Inquizition is an endeavor to bring the Nation's finest brains together under one roof to have the most exhilarating & mind racking quizzing experience of the year 2010.

INQUIZITION is a platform for students from prestigious Institutions from the streams of Engineering, Commerce, Science, Medicine and Law to showcase their Quizzing repertoire.

It is an intellectual battlefield where corporate & students would be fighting with all their might & force to emerge as the finest brain of India.

Inquizition is SIMC – Bengaluru’s endeavour to bring the Nation’s finest brains and provide a complete quizzing experience. “INQUIZITION” is a platform for students from prestigious Institutions from all different streams.

We have participation from Corporate Behemoths such as Infosys, WIPRO, HCL, DELL, Yahoo!, HP, Accenture and the like. SIMC – Bengaluru being a Media & Communication B-School, has participation from Advertising, PR and Event Management agencies like Ogilvy & Mather, JWT, Text100, Wizcraft et al.

IIT Kharagpur presents Zonal NASA 2010, a 3 day extravaganza comprising of the brightest minds in the field of architecture from the eastern zone of India. To satisfy the thirst for knowledge and quest for innovation, the fest is structured as an amalgamation of events of various genres ranging from architectural design to fine and allied arts and even literary and dramatic events. This wide variety of events helps create a conducive environment for learning, innovating and creating without sacrificing on the aspect of a fest. So go ahead and explore the plethora of opportunities that Zonal NASA 2010 has to offer. No matter what your talent maybe, we have a challenge waiting for you.

Sthapati Essay Competition

Sthapati is the Annual Magazine of the Department of Architecture and Regional Planning, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The post few years have seen tremendous growth in the circulation and stature of Sthapati. The previous issues have had articles from the who’s who of the Architecture Fraternity From Anna Herringer to BV Doshi. Apart from these, we also have articles from budding writers who are student's of architecture. Since this is the year IIT Kharagpur is hosting the Zonal Convention of NASA, Sthapati 2010 is poised to scale new heights . In connection with this is the Sthapati Essay Competition. The Competition is aimed at providing a platform for student's of architecture to express themselves, their new ideas and interpretations of architecture in front of the community at large. The details of the competition are as follows.


Design 27

The Design 27 is one of the most interestingly conceptualized events. The event begins upon registration when each college is handed over the problem statement. Once the problem statement is handed over, the clock starts ticking down till it reaches 27 hours. In the span of these 27 hours, each college can take the help of any software or any technique they wish to use to give justice to their design. Colleges are requested to bring their own laptops preloaded with software they deem necessary. 24 hours internet will be provided to the participants to aid them in their design. Once the 27 hours have elapsed, teams must present their design in front of an eminent panel of judges.

Main Design

The Main Design Event is one of the most popular events of the convention. Being the most coveted trophy of the Zonal NASA, it has a rich history of innovative problem statements, challenging problems, and extremely creative and out of the box design solutions of top notch quality. The Sheets produced in the main design events are created by the best from the college and a healthy competition ensues for a grueling 6 hours after the on the spot problem statement is released.

Landscape Design

The Landscape Design event is another on the spot design event. The structure is complimented and supported by the landscape. The landscape is usually the first impact that the structure leaves on an onlooker. The Landscape Design trophy challenges participants to search the realms of their imagination to create and conceptualize a landscape to frame, enhance and compliment a structure.They are asked to conceptualize the landscape with utmost detail while trying to maximize, aesthetics and functionality.

Interior Design

Interior Design is an event offering immense freedom for the budding architects. The interiors of a building present a creatively different and challenging experience for an architect. The Interior Design Trophy is where color, texture and form take up a totally new meaning and definition. Participants are peresented with an on the spot problem statement for which students have to come up with the best possible solution in the given time frame.

Product Design

An immensely challenging event, the Product Design event asks participants to innovate and conceptualize a product to satisfy the problem statement on the spot within a given time limit.

Informal Events

Zonal Nasa is also dotted with a number of events for the creative artists in you to flourish. With events ranging from debate and drama to art and music, be assured that you will have a platform to perform, irrespective of your talent.

Casual Events

The environment at the convention is totally ballistic, and the casual events are largely responsible for this. A plethora of events falling under the categories of whack, insane, embarrassing, witty and nutty, the audience and participants alike are left in splits.
