In celebration of National Science Day 2026, the TCE Space Club at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, presents TCE CANSAT 26’. This is not just a competition; it’s a rigorous national-level challenge designed to simulate the life cycle of a real aerospace mission.

Participants will design, build, and deploy a CanSat—a simulation of a real satellite integrated within the volume and shape of a soft drink can. From telemetry to recovery, show us you have what it takes to join the next generation of space innovators.

Event Highlights:

Lecture Series: Gain insights from distinguished ISRO Scientists.

Hands-on Engineering: Take your design from a digital blueprint to a physical mission demonstration.

Networking: Connect with space enthusiasts and experts from across the country.

Competition Structure

Stage 1: Design & Qualification (Online)

Focus: Preliminary Design Review (PDR).

Deadline: February 20, 2026.

Outcome: Top-tier designs will be shortlisted for the onsite finale.

Stage 2: Build, Deployment & Mission Demo (Onsite)

Venue: Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai.

Date: February 28, 2026 (National Science Day).

Focus: Real-world hardware deployment, data acquisition, and recovery.

Eligibility & Guidelines

Team Size: Exactly 4 members per team.

Target Audience: Open to all Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students from any engineering discipline (Aerospace, ECE, Mech, CSE, etc.).

Inter-college teams: Allowed (Encouraged).

Registration Details

Registration Fee: ₹400 per person.

Inclusions: Participation Certificates + Food & Refreshments for the onsite round.

Total Prize Pool: ₹8,000 + Prestigious Recognition.
