About Event

Jigisha 2022 - the inaugural Quiz Festival of the University of Engineering and Management (UEM) Kolkata, one of Eastern India's largest private universities.
• Date – August 26th to 28, 2022
• Venue – UEM Kolkata Campus, Newtown (Near Karigori Bhavan).
The festival will have 5 offline quiz events spanning over 3 days, a significant cash prize pool, and many themes like Entertainment, Technology, Sports, etc. We want to bring people from all walks of life together to participate in quizzes and raise awareness about our society. So, get your thinking caps on, and register yourselves for FREE.

The festival is being organised by Pragya - UEM Kolkata Quiz Club. Pragya is home to some of Kolkata's most elite quizzers and quizmasters who have won and hosted national-level quizzes since its inception in 2017.
General Rules -
• There will be a preliminary round followed by the finals.
• 2 member teams. Lone wolfs are allowed.
• Team-ups can be decided by the participants on the spot of each quiz and can vary from quiz to quiz.
• For the School Quiz - Jana Ojana members must be of the same school.
• For Fandomania, Convergence and Hit the homerun members must be under 25.
• For Pragya Sixth Sense, an open general quiz where anyone can participate.
• Cross institute teams are allowed in the under-25 and Open quizzes.

1. Jana Ojana: A School Quiz for the students of classes 8 to 12 (and the Batch of 2022 too).
2. Fandomania: An under-25 “Fandom” and Pop-culture (MELA) Quiz.
3. Convergence: An under-25 Sports, Entertainment and Tech (SPENT) Quiz.
4. Hit the Homerun: An under-25 Games and Sports Quiz.
5. Pragya Sixth Sense: Our Flagship Open General Quiz.
