The Internet of Things(IoT) is the inter- networking of devices, vehicles, buildings, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enable these objects to collect and exchange data.
IoT provides different aspects for research, implementation, and business. The IoT application domains include smart agriculture, smart healthcare, smart city, smart homes, smart buildings, smart grid which are presently transitioning their legacy
infrastructure to support IoT.
Arduino, a microcontroller board and Raspberry Pi, a fully functional mini-computer, are both cheap solutions for harnessing the IoT. Both devices are very good at reading the world around them. Both devices include plenty of inputs and outputs for sensory add-ons to test light, temperature, humidity and more.With minimal coding knowledge, open-source Python scripts can be built for automation, monitoring and uploading the data into the cloud.

Hence it is necessary to learn the fundamentals of these programming for emerging IoT technology.

How to reach Kongu Engineering College, Erode

The college is situated at Perundurai on the National Highway (NH 47) about 80 km from Coimbatore and 17 km from Erode. It is well connected by air, road and rail.
