About Event

Celebrity Index is a 2-day “Celebrity Stock exchange” game being conducted by Finnacle, the Finance club of NMIMS Hyderabad as a formal event during Nirvahana 2017. The participants are required to apply their understanding of stock market concepts in this Fantasy Celebrity stock exchange game.


Details of each Round

Round 1: Online
This online elimination round will have 30 questions related to Finance and general topics. Participants are supposed to answer these 30 questions in a stipulated time of 20 min. Top 10 teams will be invited to ton campus rounds
Round 2: Investment Round– On campus
Each team will be provided with documents containing scenarios and individual backgrounds of celebrities.
A total of 5 investing round will take place on the 1st day, wherein participants are required to take decisions based on the price fluctuations and news being circulated about the celebrities.
Parameters of the judgment of this round will be final value of the portfolio, cash reserve and # of transactions made the team.
Round 3: Present your Strategy- On campus
The Final round of this event will take place on 2nd day, where the participants have to present the strategy adopted by them during the course of the game to a panel of judges.
Final result will be the cumulative score of Round 2 and 3.


Participation Rules

A team should strictly comprise of 3-4 members.
All members should be from the same institute.
Multiple teams from institutes are allowed and encouraged but multiple entries of an individual may lead to disqualification.
Registration for the event will be done through Dare2compete.
The teams must register themselves in order to ensure their participation in the event.

No candidate can be a part of two teams. If found so, both the teams with the same candidate will be disqualified.
Result of the first round will be declared on
In case of any disputes, the decision of team Finnacle will be final and binding on all the teams.
