About Event

It is the flagship event of Finnacle, where participants from all over the country are challenged to combine cricketing passion with business acumen to be able to purchase a team of optimum value with superstar players & upcoming rising players in the mix. This year, we have also introduced the coach/manager category where you can bid for a ‘Gary Kirsten or a John Wright’ or a ‘Sachin Tendulkar’ or ‘Anil Kumble’ as mentor, at a certain price, to improve your overall score.


Details of each Round

Round 1– FinCric - Online

To screen teams out, we will have an online round, where the participants will be given a scenario, in this, the captain of the team has just arrived at the crease & has a challenging target to achieve, for which he will face 25 deliveries (questions on cricket and finance) of varying difficulty.

Round 2-Investor Pitch Online

In this round, a hypothetical scenario is given wherein all the current IPL teams have lost their investors and are in need of new investors. The participating teams will have to make an investor pitch for the new investors and will be required to send the PowerPoint presentation with 5-12 slides. The participants can select IPL team of their choice. Top 8 teams will be selected based on how innovatively they have done the number crunching and will qualify for the final round which would be OnCampus round.

Round 3 –Hammer Time - On Campus

Here the main event takes place where participants who made it to the final round get to bid for their favorite cricketing demigods, they submit their dream teams, they then bid for the cricketers keeping in mind their budgetary & logical constraints.

Participation Rules:-


1. Only students from both Post/Under Graduate institutes can participate.

2. A team should strictly comprise of 3-4 members (minimum 3).

3. All members should be from the same institute.

4. Multiple teams from institutes are allowed and encouraged.

5. Registration for the event will be done through Dare2compete.

6. In case of any disputes, the decision of team Finnacle will be binding on all the teams.
