Greetings Everyone!!!

Team Operencia – The Operations club of NMIMS Hyderabad is coming up with their biggest Inter College On-campus event – ‘The Strategist’ in ‘NIRVAHANA 2018’ – The Annual Management fest.

Henry Mintzberg once said “Strategy is a pattern in a stream of decisions”. Team Operencia aims to simulate this stream of decisions through ‘The Strategist’, which will create a scenario to do the same.



Brief about each Round

The details of each round will be shared in the Rule Sheet



Round 1: Video Pitch | Presentation Round– Online Elimination Round
This Round will require participants to make a Video Pitch on the topic which will be shared with you in the Rule sheet
Participants can also make a Presentation for the same but making a Video Pitch will fetch considerable bonus points
A team is required to make either a video Pitch or a Presentation but not both
The Video Pitch | Presentation should be accompanied by a write-up of maximum 300 words, which shall be in line with the Pitch but may include extra points to further strengthen the Pitch
Teams are required to email both their Videos | Presentation and Write-up (doc and pdf format) to the official mail ID of Operencia: operencia.hyd@nmims.edu.in


Round 2: Tender Proposal – On Campus Round
Few teams from Round 1 will be shortlisted for Round 2
Teams will be required to fill a tender which will be in line with the Video Pitch or Presentation made in Round 1
Teams will be given the tender which will comprise of 2 parts: 1st – Primary Cost, 2nd – Secondary Cost. Finally, teams with the best tender proposal (i.e. the best combination of primary and secondary cost) will go through to the 3rd round


Round 3: Bidding – On Campus Round
All teams from Round 2 will proceed to this round
To retain the combination of suppliers which a team has filled up in the Tender; all teams will have to go through a bidding process
At the end of bidding round, teams will be judged on how many of its original suppliers could it retains and what is the operational cost it has incurred


Participation Details

Open to all Under Graduation & Post Graduation students across India
Each team must have 2 members
Each member can be a part of only 1 team
Multiple teams from same institutes are allowed and encouraged
Organizers decision is to be final and binding
No registration Fees

Round 1 – Online, will be hosted on the official Facebook page of Operencia.

Round 2 & 3: On-campus Rounds | February 1st to 3rd, 2018

Prizes Worth Rs 1,70000 to be won.

Note: The Strategist will have only one Winner Team.

But Certificates will be provided to Winners and Runners-up Teams.
