Increasing energy demand led to development of renewable energy sources.Among the various renewable energy sources, the Installed capacity of wind mills is around 20 GW and Solar PV systems is around 10GW in India. The government of India has planned to achieve 60GW from Wind and 100 GW from Solar by 2022. DC generation and distribution system has very attractive technology for integration of renewable energy systems. This workshop provides an insight to the renewable energy scenario in India, renewable generation integration, energy storage systems, integrated controllers and energy management systems, power quality issues and low voltage DC distribution systems.This workshop will be useful for under graduate students, post graduatestudents, research scholars, faculty members and practicing engineers.
