FINSMART is an engaging entrepreneurship simulation event conducted as part of Startup Summit 2.0 at SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
Teams manage a fixed virtual budget to solve real-world challenges, make strategic financial decisions, and justify every rupee spent—balancing innovation, impact, and sustainability.

How It Works

1. Challenge Briefing
Teams receive a startup scenario, fixed virtual budget and objectives.

2. Budget Planning
Teams create a financial plan by allocating the budget across key areas strategically.

3. Curveball Round
Unexpected changes are introduced; teams revise their plans and adapt their strategy.

4. Final Pitch
Teams present their budgeting strategy, decisions and overall solution.

5. Q&A and Evaluation
Judges assess financial reasoning, adaptability, innovation, feasibility and business understanding.

Rules and Guidelines
Eligible team size: 2 members.
Teams can consist of members with multidisciplinary backgrounds.
Participants must work strictly within the constraints provided in the challenge.
All financial decisions must be realistic and logically justified.
Creativity, strategic thinking and adaptability will be rewarded.
The decisions of the judges will be final and binding.
