About Event

TECHNOVA ’26 is a National Level Technical Hackathon organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, in association with ECE Association, IETE Students’ Forum, IE(I) Students’ Chapter, Institution Innovation Council, and IEEE Students’ Chapter.

The hackathon provides a dynamic platform for students across the country to innovate, collaborate, and develop real-world engineering solutions. TECHNOVA ’26 aims to nurture creativity, technical excellence, and problem-solving skills by encouraging participants to work on emerging technologies and socially relevant challenges. With expert evaluation, structured mentoring, and competitive prizes, the event bridges the gap between academic knowledge and practical application.

Registration Fees

Round 1 (Abstract Submission): ₹200 per team

Round 2 (Shortlisted Teams): ₹300 per team

(Each team may consist of 1 to 5 members)

How to reach Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore

By Air

The nearest airport is Coimbatore International Airport, located approximately 3 km from the campus.

From the airport, the college can be reached within 10 minutes by taxi, auto-rickshaw, or app-based cab services.

By Train

The nearest major railway station is Coimbatore Junction (CBE), about 12 km from CIT.

From the railway station, frequent buses, auto-rickshaws, and taxis are available to reach Avinashi Road and the college campus.

By Bus

Coimbatore has excellent bus connectivity from all major cities.

From Gandhipuram Bus Stand or Ukkadam Bus Stand, take buses heading towards Avinashi / Airport and get down at CIT College Bus Stop.

Local town buses and share autos are available at regular intervals.

By Road

CIT is situated on Avinashi Road (NH 544), one of the main arterial roads of Coimbatore.

The campus is easily accessible from all parts of the city by private vehicles, taxis, and public transport.
