Dive into the thrill of Robo Soccer! This event invites enthusiasts to design and showcase their robotic soccer players in intense, competitive matches. Engineer your way to victory as your robots showcase agility, strategy, and technical finesse on the miniature soccer field. It's a dynamic showdown where innovation meets the excitement of the game. Join us for Robo Soccer and bring your mechanical team to life in this electrifying competition!
ELIGIBILITY
All UG, PG and DIPLOMA students with valid ID cards are permitted.
TEAM SIZE
Team size 1 - 5 members (Any institution or group of students may form a team or individual participation is allowed)
NOTE:
Batteries of the gel cell, lithium, NiCad, or dry cell types must be sealed and immobilized.
For every robot, the maximum electric voltage that should exist within the machine at any given time is 12V DC.
The robot must not emit infrared light. Infrared light-reflecting materials must not be used on the outside.
It is required to use a single bot in the arena, using multiple bots is not permitted.
The team is required to bring their own battery charger, we will only supply the power outlets.
The robot can be autonomous or manually controlled using a Remote- control system.
Any robotic parts/building material can be used until the robot meets the above specifications and if the design and construction are primarily the original work of the team ready-made robots are not allowed to compete in the competition.
If a team claims that their robot is affected by the other team’s robot in any way they must show proof/evidence of the interference.
Any interference must be confirmed by a Referee if a claim is placed by the other team for penalities.
Institute & event is not responsible for any bot damages that happens during play.
Estimate the wire's length in a wired bot by using the arena measurements that we provided.
Ball size - 45mm (+/- 5mm)
Arena dimension is 10 x 7 ft.
BOT SPECIFICATIONS:
A bot must fit inside a 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm box at any point in time.
Maximum weight should not be more than 5Kgs (including battery) for wirelessly controlled bots (tolerance 5%).
Only one member is allowed to control the robot during the match.
In wired robots, wires must be insulated and all the wires should be stacked properly. Ensure that the wires remain stacked during the fight/match.
Change of battery will be allowed during the break.
Ports or attachments that can break/damage opponents' bots are not allowed.
The robot should not be designed in such a way that it can hold / group / grab the ball during the match.
Teams using wireless robots should use multi-frequency remotes to avoid frequency interference.
RULES:
The total duration is 6 minutes. 5 minutes for a match which is divided into two halves (2.5 mins each) and 1 minute break.
If a team fails to report within three minutes after the third call of the game, or if any team engages in malpractice, the opponent will be declared the winner.
In case no team hits a goal, a penalty will be given & only one Bot will be placed in the arena & One shot will be given. The team with a short duration of hitting the goal will be announced as the winner.
Human interference (e.g. touching the robot) during the game is not allowed.
Decision of the Judges and Event Organizers shall be treated as final and binding.
The event coordinator is the match referee. He takes all the decisions and participants have to abide by it.
