About Event

Kashiyatra 2023, the 40th edition of the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT (BHU), Varanasi will be organized from 20th to 22nd January 2023. IIT (BHU) Varanasi resides amidst the sanctity of Asia's biggest residential university, Banaras Hindu University. Established in 1919, its legacy of more than a centenary only adds to the glory of Kashiyatra. Organized in the hallowed grounds of Varanasi - nominated as the first-ever SCO Tourism and Cultural Capital for 2022-2023, Kashiyatra promotes different cultural traditions and aspects from around the globe. With attendees crossing 80K, it is one of the largest festivals in North India. Kashiyatra is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talent and set the stage on fire in front of a large audience coming from every nook and corner of the country.

Events

In the previous editions of Kashiyatra, we have witnessed performances of artists like Ritviz, The Local Train, Uneven, KK, Saleem Sulaiman, Amit Trivedi, Zakir Khan, Aakash Gupta, and many many more. There were breath-taking performances by overseas performers like ABout - The Malaysian Beatboxer, Tiny Fingers - Irish Circus Squarehead Productions, Ileana - The Italian Odissi dancer, and many others.

Bandish- The Indian Music Event
Crosswindz- The Western Music Band Event
Toolika- The Fine Arts Event
Enquizta- The Quiz Event
Mirage- The Lifestyle Event
Natraj- The Dance Event
Samwaad- The Literary Event

The Day 1 of Kashiyatra will be graced by the performance of Darshan Raval. Further, the fest would take a humorous turn on Day 2 as Comedian Nite would be ready with their packet of humour. Be ready to be electrified by the banging performance of Raftaar on Day 3.

Kashiyatra is host to a large number of talented artists from around the world showcasing their work. All these artists would be part of the International Carnival Event of Kashiyatra. There would be a vast variety of performers, including singers, beatboxers, magicians, and graffiti artists. Additionally, be prepared to be astounded by Varanasi's native artists.

Kashiyatra 2023, the 40th edition of the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT (BHU) Varanasi elatedly announces its Inaugration Ceremony starring Warsi Brothers. The Warsi Brothers are music bearers of the Delhi Gharana and are renowned worldwide for their sufiana, qawwali, ghazals and thumris. Kicking off the Safarnama in classical elegance, witness the melodious beauty and spiritual power of qawwalis from the revered Warsi Brothers.
