About Event

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR EXHIBITION
1. Date of event: 22nd& 23rdNovember 2021
2. Timing: 11:00a.m– 3:00 p.m.
3. Theme- ‘The World Through My Eyes’
4. Eligibility:
Students enrolled in any course in any college pursuing graduation/post-graduationor Certificate course from any affiliated University/College/Institute are eligible to participate. No restriction on the number of entries from one university/college/institute.

5. Registration:
- Registration fees- ₹ 100 (maximum 5 entries)for external students only.
- Students of GIBS can participate with no fees.
- Registrations for the exhibition will open from 2nd November 2021.
- The last date to register for the event is 15th November 2021.
- The registration will be deemed to be complete only after the payment of the registration fees.

6. Venue:
- The exhibition will be conducted in physical mode in the campus of GIBS on 22nd& 23rd November 2021.
- Only students who are fully vaccinated (both doses) will be allowed inside the campus. Students are required to bring the final COVID-19 vaccination certificate for entry. Although, students who are not completely vaccinated can still submit their entries for the exhibition.

7. Art Medium: All media including the following is allowed.
- Acrylic/ Watercolours/ Oil paints
- Soft pastels/ oil pastels/ chalk pastels
- Sketching/ charcoal
- Digital art

8. Art forms
The art forms shall be diverse in form and not restricted including:

8. Photography submissions:
The photos shall be diverse in form and not restricted including:
1. Portrait Photography
2. Photojournalism

8. Abstract Photography
9. Adventure Photography
10. Astro Photography
11. Black and white Photography

9. Submission guidelines:
- Each participant is allowed to submit maximum 5 entries.
- The artwork should be adjusted on either on the A4, A3 or A5 size black sheetor others (need to be informed and approved in advance)
- The participants must submit their work in accordance with the theme only.
- Each entry must accompany a small description as to what the participant intends to depict. Word limit for description is not more than 50 words.
- The submission must be an original work of the participant and not be subject to plagiarism. Plagiarized artwork would lead to disqualification of the same.
- The participants are requested to submit the original work (hardcopy) latest by 15th November 2021 at GIBS Campus either by hand or by post.
- No act of obscenity/vulgarity should be promoted else would lead to disqualification.

10. Judging Criteria

• Relevance to the theme (5marks)
• Originality (5marks)
• Artistic composition (5marks)
• Creativity (5marks)
• Overall impression (5marks)
• Chief Guest Bonus (5marks)

- Decision of Jury will be final and will not be subjected to challenge.
- The Organizing Committee reserves rights to change the dates or amend any rule at any stage during the event, if deemed necessary.
- The Organizing Committee also reserves all the rights to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if any unforeseen circumstances arise outside of its control.

11. Perks
- Prize will be given to the 1 BEST ARTWORK and 1 BEST PHOTO only, in the form of cash prize of Rs. 1000, Certificate of Merit and a gift hamper.
- All participants will receive a participation certificate.

12. Workshop
A free workshop on art and photography for one hour will be organised for all the participants at GIBS Campus on 22nd November 2021.
