About Event
ELECTROCOMM HACKATHON
ECE Department had its modest beginning on June 1999 under the manifestation of Most Revered Honorable President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. Sona SIPRO has always tried to develop efficient algorithms to address sociology-relevant problems.
Objectives
• Understand various mathematical concepts and hence utilize them for Signal, VLSI, image processing applications, thereby providing solutions for everyday societal problems.
• Collaborate with academic, industry and non-governmental organizations falling under the matching areas for carrying out competitive research.
• Develop algorithms pertaining to the area of signal and image processing and hence evaluate them on a real-time scenario
At the present time, the image processing technique is highly used across different industries, which is used to form core investigate region in engineering as well as in different disciplines too.
As you would be involved in continuous 10 hours of coding, we would be providing the following from our side:
a. A worktable with necessary power sockets along with a 24 x 7 UPS backup would be provided for individual batches.
b. Secured Wi-Fi connectivity of up to 1 Mbps with uninterrupted internet (*subject to the service provider’s provision)
c. A normal reclining facility would be available as and when required at the venue.
d. Doctor-on-call would be available at the venue with basic medical equipment and emergency medicines. However, if any of the participant is undertaking any regular medicine, it is recommended that they make necessary arrangements for the same.
e. There is Rs.200 REGISTRATION FEE per head for the event.
f. The venue would be under total surveillance for the purpose of judging.
g. Judgmental suggestions and discussions would be done with each of the batches on a rotational basis for supplementing your thoughts for the given problem.
h. Each of the participant would be given with a participant certificate at the end of the event.
Note:
a. If required, the prize winners of the event need to present their work to the audience at the end of the event.
b. All the codes developed during the process needs to be handed over the organizing team. Only then the team would be validated for scrutiny.
c. There would be 50% of TA provided for the outside (Other state only)participating team during the days of the event.
d. As a part of the event, each batch should produce a one-minute video presentation about the project along with demonstration at the end of the event. The script for the video and jockeying should be done by the participating team itself. However, as and when required video recording support would be given from the campus side.
