About Event

It is just been a span of around 10 years, the quaint town of Ropar (45 km away from Chandigarh) has risen from the whims of ruin in history to a town housing one of the best institutes in the country, IIT Ropar. We feel immense pleasure to announce that Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar (IIT) will be organizing its Annual Socio-Cultural Fest, Zeitgeist in the month of October 2018. The fest will be a Three-Day and Four-Night extravaganza consisting of events ranging from different cultural performances to comedy shows, EDM nights and Star-studded events. Since this year we are celebrating our 10th anniversary of the establishment of IIT Ropar, this year’s Zeitgeist is going to be bigger and better than ever! In our previous editions, our moving crowd has been over 12,000 and considering the aforementioned factors, we expect this count to grow this year. Being an IIT, we generate buzz among the students and the general public alike and attract crowds from all over India.



The star attractions from earlier editions of Zeitgeist include:

Elite Bollywood Stars: Mohit Chauhan and Gajendra Verma

Punjabi Singers: Alfaaz and Sharry Mann

EDM: Zephyrtone, Sunburn

Bands: Euphoria, Spunk, The Local Train




We are also going to organize competitions in different cultural fields such as music, dance, drama, lifestyle and many more. Tentatively, we have lined up Pronights including Diljit Dosanjh, Shankar ehsaan loy, and Bassjackers to lighten up the occasion with their performances.
