Objectives of Workshop:
This workshop focuses on solving structures made of layered composites. The hands –on-training module introduces modeling (pre-processing, solving (solution) and viewing results (post-processing) for layered composite structures subjected to load. In the pre-processing stage, all composite definitions (defining the number the number of layers, layer material, and layer thickness and ply orientation) can be modeled. In the post-processing stage, the stresses and strains in each ply can be evaluated and visualized. Failure criteria for composites (Tsai-Wu and Tsai-Hill) are also addressed

 Introduction to ANSYS ACP (ANSYS Composite Prep-post)
 Modeling (preprocessor), solution (solver) and viewing results (post-processing) of
o composite laminate subjected to pressure
o composite laminated shaft subjected to torque
