About Event

Carbon Zero Challenge 2019 is an Eco-innovation contest hosted by IIT Madras in collaboration with Virtusa and Shaastra 2019 . It aims to motivate and nurture youth and professionals towards Eco-Entrepreneurship in Energy and Environmental sector.

Carbon Zero Challenge (CZeroC) is a Green Business Idea Competition. It’s a unique one-of-its-kind initiative pioneered by Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). CZeroC 2019 uniqueness lies in its multi-stage support to the participants. It not only seeks innovative ideas, but additionally supports the best performing teams to build working prototypes, by providing them ‘Financial and Mentor Support.

CZeroC 2019 Offers:

  • Start-up support fund for the winner team
  • Funding support of ‘up to Rs. 5 Lakhs per team’ for selected teams to build prototypes
  • Mentorship from Subject Experts
  • Entrepreneurship training and certification’ for selected teams
