TED

TED is a US based not-for-profit enterprise devoted to the propagation of their theme "Ideas Worth Spreading". TED started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment & Design. TED has ever since grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes. Their talks are then made available, free, at TED.com.
TEDx

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organised events are branded TEDx, where x denotes that it is an independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organised.
TEDxGCT

TEDxGCT was first hosted in 2013 for the GCT community. Since then TEDxGCT has become one of the leading platform and pipeline for the propagation of ideas, creativity, innovation and culture of the community to the rest of the world. The Government College of Technology brings together interesting and influencing people as well as great scholars to share their bright ideas and experiences in an extraordinary TED style creating the magic called TEDxGCT.
We are excited to welcome you all to our one-day carnival! We would like to pamper you with not just ideas but also all that you would need that day:

Why "igniting the potential"

When a group of likeminded people meetup, the ideas that are shared are beyond boundaries. By taking our audience on a rollercoaster ride of perspectives, we would like to IGNITE the beginning for ventures.
Why TEDxGCT 2017?

You may be 60-year-old enthusiast or a 16-year-old not-knowing-what-to-do teenager, which is why we encompass ideas that can be relatable to an age group.
Future Goals

TEDxGCT would be a compilation of reflections from various causes connecting life. It will aspire to provide challenging platforms and vibrant opportunities for people to share their ideas and practical experiences for the betterment of world. It would be an initiative to promote interest, nurture skills, incubate innovation and excellence
