A great deal of research is going on in Artificial Neural Network worldwide. It plays a major role in solving complex real world application scenarios. Artificial Neural Networks have been developed as generalization of mathematical models of biological nervous systems. Neural Networks are employed to solve problems of non-linear regression, optimization, etc. in the field of Electrical system, Control system, Biomedical image and signal processing. Keeping in view the necessity of Neural Network Applications, this workshop is organized to acquaint the participants with different Scientific Research Methods and Techniques to help them facilitate better decisions and initiate appropriate action programs and interventions. The scope of this programme is to make a brief introduction to models of networks, for then describing in general terms ANNs. As an application, we explain and start with the Back Propagation (BPN) and Radial Basis Function (RBFN) algorithm, since it is widely used and many other algorithms are derived from it. Next, the tuning free algorithm namely Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) will be covered with prediction and classification applications. Also, a Novel online sequential learning ELM algorithm will be discussed and hands on training will be provided. Moreover, the state of the art, fast learning algorithm in the complex valued domain will also be explained and its ability to learn complex valued data will be demonstrated. Thus this workshop will enable the Research scholars, UG/PG students and other academicians to gain thorough knowledge on the implementation of these Neural Network techniques using MATLAB.
