Automation day Organisation name: ISA (International Society of Automation) Purpose : Automation day Date : 16 April 2014 ABOUT THE ISA-MCET STUDENTS SECTION • INTENATIONAL SOCIETY OF AUTOMATION-MCET students section was started in 2012 with 150 students of EIE & ICE. • It is one of the forums in MCET which is known for its assiduous work in AUTOMATION. • It organizes lots of events to emphasis young minds with the skills of automation Events: • Automation contest • Paper presentation 1. Automation Contest: Automation day of ISA MCET section is bound to conduct an automation contest .Are you a person with curious mind to tackle and provide solution to real life problems then automation contest is the right arena for you to showcase your ability.it will be quite more interesting if you have a little practice in Keilc, MATLAB, lab VIEW and proteus software. Rules: • Two members per team • Two rounds • Prelims-based on real life problems and its solutions • The teams coming up with best solutions are selected for the final round • Final round revolves around the software • No registration fee for this contest 2. Paper Presentation: Paper topics: • Automation in automobiles • Conventional energy system • Artificial intelligence and Expert systems • Wireless automated system • Fuzzy logic Systems in automation • PLC / SCADA / DCS • Process automation • Industrial instrumentation Registration fee: • ISA members : Rs.300 per head • Non ISA members: Rs.350 per head • Maximum of three participants in the team is allowed. • Paper must be in IEEE format. • Participants are requested to send their paper to the mail id mcet.isa@gmail.com. • Paper must be presented for minimum of 5min and maximum of 7min &3mins for queries. • On-line registration is must and spot registration will not be permitted. • Participants should carry their ID cards with them. • If the participant belongs to ISA forum then he/she must provide their photo copy of membership card for their reduction in entry fee. • Last date for the submission of paper is 31-03-2014 • Intimation date: 2.04.2014
