About Event

Research Conclave is an event organized by the Students’ Academic Board (SAB) of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG). Started in 2015, Research Conclave has become a veritable platform to nurture the young minds towards research, innovation and entrepreneurship and intends to bring the undivided attention of the students towards both industries and academia to redress the academic research challenges, concerns of the entire student community and upcoming entrepreneurs around the globe. It is a forum to harness innovative minds of current society by taking innovations made in research to their actual implementation in the industries. Research Conclave aims to be the catalyst which builds leaders through holistic, transformable and innovative ideas.
Research Conclave has gone from strength to strength since its inception and now boasts of being one of the largest of its kind in India with the 2019 edition witnessing participants from over 30 states and union territories of our country.

Accommodation

Accommodation charges per day: Rs. 150/- per person
(Excluding payment gateway charges and 18% GST)
Accommodation will be provided from 18th March 12:00 noon to 23rd March 12:00 noon.
Valid ID card is mandatory at the time of registration at the Hospitality Desk.
Important Notes

All accommodation will be done in various hostels on a sharing basis.
Accommodation will be strictly on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Meals are not included in this charge. It will be available on pay & eat basis in the hostel's mess. Alternatively, you can eat from food stalls all over the campus or from hostel canteens.
Mattresses, bedsheets, pillow, pillow cover, blanket, bucket & mug will be provided.
You may be asked to deposit caution money of Rs. 200, which will be reimbursed on the last day only if there is no reported loss to the property of IIT Guwahati.
We suggest you bring your basic requirements (like toothbrush, lock, etc.) for your stay in IIT Guwahati.
On ground of suspicions, your luggage can be checked by authorities. Alcohol/ Drugs/ Smoking are strictly prohibited inside the campus. Violating the above rules will lead to immediate cancellation of accommodation, and depending on the severity, fine can also be imposed.

How to reach IIT Guwahati

The Institute is located on the outskirts of the city of Guwahati on the northern banks of Brahmaputra. It is around 20 km from the heart of the city and is 45 minutes' drive from the airport. Different modes of transportation are available to reach the city from the airport or the railway station.

Participants coming through train can also take the IIT Guwahati buses that ply regularly from the Reserve Bank Campus just outside the Guwahati Railway Station. You can refer to the bus timetable on -http://www.iitg.ac.in/aa/pages/campusmap/files/bus-timings-2010.pdf
