The Department of Mechatronics Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur (SRMIST-KTR), is organising a “Workshop on Data Visualization Using Python” on July 30 & 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how to visualise and interpret data effectively using Python and its leading libraries. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including an Introduction to Data Visualisation, the Importance of Data Visualisation, Python Essentials for Data Visualisation, Data Visualisation Tools, the use of Different Plots and Their Usage, Interactive Plots, Geospatial Data Visualisation, Choropleth Maps, and the creation of Interactive Dashboards.
Participants will work with essential Python libraries such as Pandas, Matplotlib, Plotly, Seaborn, and Folium, enabling them to create clear, insightful, and visually engaging data presentations. This workshop is particularly beneficial for UG and PG students, research scholars, and faculty members, as well as anyone who is eager to transform raw data into stunning visual insights. While prior familiarity with Python is beneficial, it is not mandatory to attend.
