About Event
The seminar titled “Edge Computing for Industrial Automation” aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of how edge computing technologies are transforming modern industrial automation systems. With the increasing adoption of Industry 4.0, real-time data processing, low-latency decision-making, and intelligent automation have become critical requirements in industrial environments. Edge computing addresses these needs by enabling computation closer to data sources such as sensors, controllers, and industrial devices.
This seminar will focus on the practical integration of edge computing with industrial automation frameworks, covering key concepts such as IoT-based automation, edge-enabled analytics, real-time monitoring, and protocol-level communication used in industrial settings. The resource person will share industry-driven insights, real-world deployment scenarios, and challenges encountered while implementing edge solutions in manufacturing and process industries.
The session is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices, offering valuable exposure to students, research scholars, and faculty members interested in emerging technologies, industrial IoT, and intelligent systems. The seminar will also highlight current trends, career opportunities, and research directions in the domain of edge computing for automation.
