ABOUT THE FDP
The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Research Paper Writing and Publication
in Scopus-Indexed Journals” aims to strengthen the research and publication skills of
faculty members and research scholars. The programme offers structured guidance on
identifying research gaps, framing objectives, developing conceptual frameworks,
selecting suitable methodologies, and writing quality research papers aligned with
international standards.
Special emphasis is given to research ethics, plagiarism prevention, Scopus indexing
criteria, journal selection, and the peer-review process. The FDP blends theory with
practice through expert sessions, demonstrations, and guided paper-writing activities to
enable participants to publish confidently in reputed journals.
Participants will be able to:
 Identify research gaps, publishable topics and develop conceptual and theoretical
frameworks.
 Apply suitable research methods, tools&write, structure high-quality research
papers.
 Understand Scopus indexing, quartiles, journal metrics` &Follow ethical research
practices and plagiarism norms.
 Select appropriate journals, avoid predatory publications & Improve academic
writing, referencing, and citation skills
