About Event

CRISPR-Cas systems represent a revolutionary tool in molecular biology and genetics. Derived from the immune mechanisms of bacteria, these systems allow for precise genome editing by targeting specific DNA sequences. Synthetic biology is the design and construction of new biological parts, devices, and systems, and the re-design of existing, natural biological systems for useful purposes. Synthetic biology is developing into a bio design platform where it will be possible to apply the “design-build-test-iterate (or deploy)” to predictably create cells or organisms able to produce a wide variety of novel molecules, materials or even cells for multiple applications.
