About Event

Dekathon 2023 is a 3-day Indo-Malaysian design hackathon jointly organized by St. Thomas College of Engineering and Technology, Chengannur, in association with Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University and Kerala Startup Mission to be held from 22-24 November, 2023. The hackathon is themed "Trash to Tech: Igniting Innovation in Solid Waste Management" after Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 6 and 11.
Solid waste management is a complex problem that affects every corner of the planet. It's not just about disposing of waste responsibly but also about finding value in what others might discard. During this hackathon, you will have the opportunity to:
Learn: Gain insights into the pressing challenges of solid waste management through workshops and expert talks.
Innovate: Collaborate with like-minded individuals to brainstorm and develop creative solutions.
Pitch: Create compelling pitch decks that showcase your innovative ideas.
Compete: Present your pitch decks to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes and recognition.
Experts relating to the respective field will be available during the hackathon and the participants can seek the help and guidance of them to develop their idea and prepare a pitch deck presentation.
