About Event

Wissenaire is the annual techno-management fest of Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar). It strives for transforming India into a better knowledge hub and has reached great heights within no time. It is a collection of a large set of technical and managerial events, each contributing to the progress of the nation through the encouragement of research implementation, product design and product creation as such.

Events

The Grand Arcanum - Designing competitions like Electronix (circuit designing), Stimulant (water-propelled rocket designing), and Smart City Challenge etc.
Executive Suite - It encompasses all the events under management and is a test of the innovative and managerial skills of the students.
Yantrix: It consists of robotic competitions which include drone challenge, trekkon, robo wars, maze solver etc.
Matricks - Brain-teasing problem statements involving Coding, CAD designing, App development, Solid Works etc.
Colloquia - It is the paper presentation event conducted separately for various branches.

Workshops

Bridge design, Big data and big data analytics, AI and Machine learning, Mercedes engine analysis, IoT with Google Assistant, Hexapod, Web Development, Social media marketing and SEO.

PPT Topics

Round 1:Submitting a power point presentation on your topic of interest from the list of specified domains.
Round 2:Teams will be selected, purely based on the 1st round-confirmation mail will be sent. Selected teams will be taking part in the event during Wissenaire 2020

Event Guests

We bring renowned leaders in the arena of science and technology every year such as Dr.K.Radhakrishnan (Ex-Chairman, ISRO), Dr. P J Bhat (Chief Scientist, Chandrayaan Mission), Mr.Anand Sen (VP, Tata Steel), Kiran Bedi(IPS Officer) to name a few.Other than technical events we also have our cultural night called the Magna Vista. In the previous editions, we had soulful performances by many eminent artists such as Mohammad Irfan(Wissenaire'16), Zubin Nautiyal(Wissenaire'17), Shilpa Rao(Wissenaire'18), The Local Train(Wissenaire'15), Kenny Sebastian(Wissenaire'19) to name a few. For Wissenaire'20 we have not finalized the artist yet but we are looking for some high profile Bollywood singers to grace our event

Accommodation

Participants can get accomodation in the campus itself by paying 200 per day and 550/- for 3 days.

How to reach IIT Bhubaneswar

You need to board a train to Khurda Railway Station and from there we will be arranging a bus to bring you to campus.
