About Event

NIT Trichy is again in the mood of another technical symposium, Moments’18. One of the most awaited symposiums in the college, Moments is one of the flagship events of the Civil Engineering Association of NIT Tiruchirappalli, fondly known as CEA. Since its inception in 1964, the CEA has achieved several milestones such as the development of various laboratories, the establishment of various master’s courses, PhD courses and the establishment of a consultancy centre,etc. Moments is a three-day long celebration of civil engineering ideas attracting a footfall of over 1500 students annually, hosting a variety of events, workshops, guest lectures and exhibitions. It is a gale of civil engineering ideas, put forward by budding engineers under the watchful gaze and support of the professors. Moments’18 is from 15th to 18th March. With the vibes of propitious inauguration spreading around ,the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony is Dr Santhosh Kapuria to be held on 15th of March.

This time with an exhilirating theme INNOVATION, moments has set its itinerary in scintillating the civil engineering fraternity with new possibilties and ground breaking ideas. Conforming to the above the Guest lecture line ups include eminent personalities like Prof. Santosh Kapurla Director CSIR-SERC Chennai,Dr Devdas Menon Professor IIT Madras, Mr Pavin Pankajan Trustee of Aquasafi Rural Development Foundation ,Mr Thiruman Archunan to emmanate their knowledge in various fields and share their views on industrial solutions.
With bracing technology to its pinnacle the workshops to be held are conditional assessment of buildings, finite element method, application of advanced composite material, prefabricated buildings, modelling techniques using matlab, building information modelling, seismic design of buildings, data analytics, Autodesk revit, Construction project management.
And the events are paper presentation ,clash of clad,expresso,potential professor,civigyan,rehabilato,surveyors challenge,bridge it,snp shot,online quiz
