About Event

Session 1: Introduction to Data Analytics (1.5 Hours)
• What is Data Analytics? Why is it important?
• Types of Data Analytics (Descriptive, Predictive, Prescriptive)
• Understanding data types (structured/unstructured, categorical/numerical)
• Real-life applications (startups, business, healthcare)
• Tools Overview: Excel vs Python vs AI Tools
• Hands-on: Load and explore a dataset using Python (Pandas)
Session 2: Exploratory Data Analysis (1 Hours)
• Data Cleaning: Handling missing data, removing duplicates
• Data Visualization: Histograms, Boxplots, Heatmaps
• Hands-on: Perform EDA using Pandas, Matplotlib/Seaborn
Break (1 Hour)
Session 3: Introduction to AI in Analytics (1 Hour)
• What is AI in Data Analytics?
• Basic ML pipeline: preprocessing → training → prediction
• Demo: Use AutoML or Scikit-learn to train a simple model
• Hands-on: Train a regression or classification model using Python
Session 4: Mini Project + Q&A (1.5 Hours)
• Mini Project: Participants clean, explore, and model a small dataset
• Suggested Datasets: Student performance, Sales data, or Titanic dataset
• Participants interpret results and present insights
• Q&A and Feedback

**NOTE: LAPTOP IS MANDATORY, SINCE HANDS-ON SESSIONS NEEDS PROGRAMMING

*This Workshop is strictly for College STUDENTS, since the course content has been designed according to the students.
*Professionals, Experts and Faculty Members of colleges/Schools/Parents are not allowed to join this Workshop and same do not fall in our eligible candidate list.
*The workshop is conducted by Top Engineers only and not by IIT Madras Research Park or IIT Madras or Anna University.
*IIT Madras / IIT Madras Research Park is only a venue.
*Participants are informed not to contact IIT Madras Research Park or IIT Madras or Anna University and not to enquire about TOP ENGINEERS workshops.
*Certificates will be given only at the end of the workshop.
* Kindly bring your college id card or any ID proof along with a photocopy of your pay slip or ticket details in mobile.
* Seats are filled on "first come & first serve" basis. No on the spot payment is allowed.
*Session timings – 9.30 AM to 4.30 PM (Lunch Break -12.30 noon to 1.15 PM - Veg only).
* Laptops, pen drive and data card or mobile with net connection are compulsory and we request you to bring the laptop with full power backup. If you're coming in groups you can share laptops with your friends.
