About Event

One of the premier institutions for technical education in the country, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli has strived to provide students with the best academic syllabi and even better academic exposure since its establishment in 1964.

Pragyan, the international techno-managerial fest of NIT Trichy which came into being in 2005, achieves just that by providing a platform for multitudes of students to showcase their technical prowess. The fest has come a long way since its inception, becoming only the third organisation after London Olympics and Manchester United and the first ever student-run organisation to have achieved the ISO 20121:2012 Certification for Sustainable Event Management.

Organising 40+ events sorted into over 8 clusters, the fest covers a wide variety of technological and managerial aspects. With Guest Lectures and Events that are a feast to the science enthusiasts in us, the fest has come to be one that is the most looked forward to, attracting students from various parts of the country every year.

Stepping up to its 14th edition in 2018, Pragyan ’18 is all set to break conventions and outdo itself by venturing into The Next Dimension, its theme, celebrating technology like it always has.
