Amalthea ’17

Celebrating its 8th year, Amalthea, the Annual Technical summit of IIT Gandhinagar, continues its tradition of spreading technical knowledge and suffusing enthusiasm for technology alongside its aim of bringing prosperity through technology. This year the Summit will be held on 4th and 5th of November.
In the years gone by Amalthea has brought great people and companies such Shri Narendra Modi, R. Chidambaram, Alan Emtage, ISRO, Microsoft, L&T, Audi and many more.
With the theme “concept to creation“, aim is to focus on the myriad trail of development, from conception of Ideas to their eventual manifestation in our lives.

Events

Conclave: A series of public talks on science and technology over both of the days. Some people addressing at the Conclave this year are mentioned in fest guests.

Events: Activities to test the technical skills and acumen of high school kids, college students and enthusiasts. Some of the events this year are:

Exhibition: The exhibition at Amalthea this year promises to be more engaging, with more interactive, hands-on demonstrations to excite crowds. Some exhibits are:
Agilo Research : Will exhibit, Evive, their electronic prototyping tool.
Drona Aviation : Will exhibit Pluto, there DIY nano drone.
FT and S (Neurosky) : Will exhibit brain controlled helicopter and car.
Tailored Solutions : Will exhibit 12D VR chair.
KHS Machinery : Catalogue stall explaining the process of filing and packaging that is undertaken in the industry.
Vexma Technologies : Will exhibit their 3D printing solutions in the field of healthcare, engineering, entertainment etc.

Symposium: A structured discourse on a specific topic between industry and academic experts of relevant fields. The topic for the Symposium this year shall be 'Low Cost Automation'.
