Multi-Drug Resistant microbes are becoming an increasing alarm around the world. This ever growing resistance phenomenon in both developed and developing countries halts the progress in the treatment of much life threatening microbial disease in addition to the failure of antibiotics against the infectious microbes which results in prolonged illness, disability and death. Before we face the possibility of future without effective antibiotics, it is our need to study the root cause, possible alternate and overcoming strategies against this global phenomenon.

 

 

In regard to this, the Department of Biotechnology of BIT has taken up an initiative to disseminate knowledge to faculties, students and research scholars on this molecular characteristic of multidrug resistance microbes-cause, prevention and control which will make the young minds to have thrive interest to carry out challenging research for the better outcome.
