About Event

Synergy’16 is a three day Annual Technical Symposium organized by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE-ISF) in association with SENSE-VIT University, Vellore on the 22nd ,23rd and 24th January,2016. This symposium offers a one-of-a-kind experience to students by providing an array of opportunities under one umbrella. The idea behind Synergy'16 is to train students in Future Forward Technologies through workshops and provide global exposure and esoteric knowledge through guest lectures delivered by eminent personalities.

Events

>Guest Lectures:
Synergy’16 provides a platform with experts in various fields sharing their experience and knowledge with the participants.
Mr. Sijomon, Senior Member (Engineer), DRDO with an experience of over 10 years.(22nd January,2016)
Mr. Akshay Goel, Senior Vice-president, R&D at Biological E, Hyderabad with an experience of over 20 years in the vaccine industry.(22nd January,2016)
Mr. Lohit Sahu, Founder and Director, Phyzok Learning Solutions LLP , a firm that creates solutions to enhance education delivery system in schools.(23rd January,2016)

>Competitions:
Paper Presentation competition in collaboration with IJRET(International Journal for Research in Engineering and Technology). Send in your abstracts to ietevit@vit.ac.in with the subject as Synergy’16-PAPER PRESENTATION[COLLEGE NAME][DOMAIN]. The deadline for sending the abstracts is 25th December, 2015. Prize money up to 13.5 K. The selected abstracts for the final presentation will be notified by mail.The final presentation will be held on the 22nd and 23rd January,2016 at VIT University.

>Code Olympia in collaboration with HackerRank:
A 12 hour Code Olympia on 23rd January,2016 with brain tickling and challenging problems. Prize money up to 8K.

>Social Initiative:
IETE has undertaken a social initiative to raise funds for the Universal Higher Education Trust (UHET) through the code olympia which will be held at Synergy’16.

>Cultural Night:
The profusion of a brilliant set of three days ends with a night to remember, a night to rejoice with band performances, dance and food. Limited passes. Registration on first come, first serve basis.

Workshops

>XBEE Communication Workshop:
A two day XBEE Communication Workshop on the 22nd and 23rd January,2016 conducted by TechnoXian, Times Globacom Limited. The registration fees for this workshop is Rs 900 per participant for two days. The fee includes study material, software and kit.

>Big Data & Hadoop:
A three day workshop on Big Data & Hadoop by I-Medita Learning Solutions Private Limited on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th January,2016.The registration fees for this workshop is Rs 1000 per participant for three days. The fee includes study material, software and kit.

How to reach Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore

The college is 130 km west of Chennai and 180 km east of Bangalore. The nearest airport is Chennai (two and half hours drive). Vellore-Katpadi Junction is the nearest railway station, just 3 km from VIT campus and accessible by train and road from Chennai and Bengaluru.
