About Event

Antarang 2014 is an annual festival organized in February by the students and staff of K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy located at Sion,Mumbai. This year the theme for our fest is 'Health and Fitness'. We are aiming at continuing physiotherapy awareness by screening for risk factors such as obesity, osteoporosis, diabetes, peripheral neuropathy and hypertension. We are also going to have workshops on first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This year we are organizing a 'Walkathon' to spread awareness about 'Silent Killers' such as Obesity, Diabetes and Hypertension and coming up with an annual magazine called 'Xpressions' which includes articles about physiotherapy awareness programs, protocols of fitness and articles written by students, doctors and staff which will be widely distributed among students, doctors, guests from medical as well as non-medical institutions and patients. Antarang covers 4 days of stage events such as inauguration, academic events, cultural and sports events and fun-n-fair.
