About Event

IC ENGINES OF F1 CARS:

What is an IC Engine?
The term I.C engine stands for Internal Combustion Engine referring to an engine in which combustion is intermittent, such as the more familiar four-stroke and two-stroke piston engines, along with variants, such as the six-stroke piston engine and the Wankel rotary engine. The engine is where the combustion of a fuel occurs with an oxidizer (usually air) in a combustion chamber which creates a force which is applied typically to pistons, turbine blades, rotor or a nozzle thus transforming chemical energy into useful mechanical energy.
IC Engine Dismantling:
Have you ever wondered how does an I.C engine look like? Have you ever wondered how does it power your vehicle? Have you ever wondered how does it work and how does it give you so much of speed?
This workshop the resource person will dismantle the IC Engine to display the major parts of the Engine and explain its functions.
How different is the F1 Engine different from a Normal Car Engine?
Do you know that an F1 car can accelerate from 0 to 100 mph and decelerate back to 0 in just four seconds?
Are you aware of the fact that F1 car engines last only for about 2 hours of racing mostly before blowing up? Isn’t it surprising that an F1 engine usually revs up to 18000 rpm? The average car revs up to 6, 000 rpm?
Formula 1 is the most technologically advanced, competitive, and dangerous auto racing in the world. Formula 1 cars are designed and built to the limits of technology. And IC Engine is the heart which powers these rapid automobiles to unimaginable speeds. This workshop would give you a detailed knowledge on the IC Engines used in F1 cars.
This session will be presented by a Resource person from RENAULT NISSAN.

HYBRID CARS:

What is a Hybrid Car?
A Hybrid Car uses two or more distinct types of power, such as internal combustion engine to drive a generator that powers an electric motor, e.g. in diesel-electric trains using diesel engines to drive an electric generator that powers an electric motor, and submarines that use diesel when surfaced and batteries when submerged. Other means to store energy include pressurized fluid in hydraulic hybrids.
Emergence of Hybrid Cars:
The Indian car space has come a long way in the past few years in terms of technology. There is a growing acceptance of hybrid cars and the Government of India also thinks that Hybrid vehicles are the future and recently revealed its aim to have an all-electric car fleet in the country by 2030. While this is quite ambitious, for now, we have been seeing more and more carmaker entering the hybrid car space.
It's time to leave the old way of driving behind. Hybrid cars save fuel, reduce emissions and even recharge their batteries without being plugged in. You might think they are complicated to own, yet the opposite is true – they are designed to make your life easier. Find out everything about what is a hybrid car and how they work right here.
This session will be conducted by a resource person from RENAULT NISSAN

AUTONOMOUS CARS:

What is an Autonomous Car?
An autonomous car is also known as a driverless car or a self-driving car is a vehicle that is capable of sensing its environment and navigating without human input. Autonomous cars use a variety of techniques to detect their surroundings, such as radar, laser light, GPS, odometry, and computer vision. Advanced control systems interpret sensory information to identify appropriate navigation paths, as well as obstacles and relevant signage. Autonomous cars have control systems that are capable of analyzing sensory data to distinguish between different cars on the road, which is very useful in planning a path to the desired destination.
Future of Autonomous Cars
For most people, self-driving cars are just an abstraction, something they read about occasionally in the press but still consider a far-off, futuristic fantasy. But the events that took place over the past few months signal a key shift in the trajectory of self-driving cars and prove that these vehicles are much closer to reality than most people think.
Ford being a frontrunner in Autonomous cars has said it plans to roll out a highly-automated car by 2021 and its CEO, Jim Hackett said, “Vehicles are getting smarter, in the traditional business. And with the promise of the future business autonomy, the vehicles are going to get much smarter. That guarantees, in a way, that Ford’s vehicle history is an advantage. Because the smarter the vehicles are in the future and we can build them the more they’ll have a role.”
This session will be handled by a Resource person from FORD
