About Event
Abhyuday, IIT Bombay brings you a Nationwide competition, Action-Plan.
There are many problems in this world that influence a considerable number of the individuals within our society. The competition Action plan at Abhyuday, IIT Bombay is providing a platform for student to solve a social problem by engaging with the community and stakeholders and a chance to implement your action plan.
Aimed at encouraging youth towards solving social issues with their innovative ideas, we effectively directed past 3 versions of A-Plan competition covering about 20 states with participation of 140+ teams including almost 500 students from 150 colleges nationwide in Action-Plan, 2015.
In order for the solutions to sustain and create a lasting impact, we propose the solutions to tackle the challenges should be in the lines of Activism/Not-for-Profit/Social Entrepreneurship led models.
All the teams will be mentored and guided by professionals who have been working in the social sector, in addition to many NGOs who have been working at grassroots levels for past many years. This effort would make teams of A-Plan, grounded in their approach, rounded in their functioning and a step forward to eliminating inefficiencies and sufferings.
Incentives
1) Prizes worth rupees 6 lakhs to the top teams.
2) Top 5 Action Plans based on profit model will be considered for acceleration programme by SINE, IIT Bombay with minimum seed funding of INR 3 lakhs In which minimum two teams will be surely selected from Abhyuday Aplan’s finalist. Selected team will be also be provided with an accelerator program worth than 3 lakhs in kinds ( mentoring + networking + training )
3) Top non-profit models will be implemented by various NGOs
4)Participation certificate to the teams who qualify 1st round satisfactorily.

Events
All the participants who will qualify in the "Action Plan Submission" round (2nd round) would have a unique opportunity to present their solutions to the eminent personalities who will be judging the final rounds during Abhyuday - The Social Festival of IIT Bombay.
