About Event

HACKNEX 2026 is a National-Level 24-Hour Hackathon organized by the Computer Innovation and Research Association (CIRA) through its student club NEXUS – Network for Exploration and Unified Skills, under the Division of Computer Science and Engineering, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore.

The national hackathon will be held from 8–9 October 2026 and will bring together students from engineering and technology disciplines to ideate, design and build innovative solutions to real-world problems.

HACKNEX is designed to move beyond conventional coding competitions. Teams are encouraged to approach their ideas from multiple perspectives including product thinking, system design, technical implementation, user experience, scalability, real-world impact and business potential.

The event is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, from beginners exploring technology to experienced hackathon participants, developers and aspiring researchers.

Participants will compete for a â‚ą1.5 lakh prize pool along with exciting internship opportunities.

The main event is a continuous 24-hour hackathon, where teams of 3–4 participants will develop and present technology-driven solutions.

- Artificial Intelligence
- Generative AI
- Local LLMs
- Computer Vision
- Full Stack Development
- Product Engineering
- Emerging Technologies
- Innovative interdisciplinary technology solutions

Awards Ceremony

9 October 2026

Following the hackathon, shortlisted/finalist teams will proceed to the concluding sessions, followed by the Chief Guest Talk and Awards Ceremony.
