About Event
Hogwarts Legacy 5.0 is a National-Level 24-Hour Mega Hackathon organized by the Department of M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering (Integrated), Erode Sengunthar Engineering College (Autonomous). The event brings together passionate students, developers, innovators, and problem-solvers from different institutions to transform creative ideas into practical technological solutions within an intensive 24-hour development environment. With the theme “Cybersecurity & Artificial Intelligence”, Hogwarts Legacy 5.0 provides participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity, teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving abilities across three major domains: Slytherin – Cybersecurity & Threat Defense: Focused on cybersecurity solutions, threat detection, secure systems, digital protection, vulnerability analysis, and innovative defense technologies. Gryffindor – Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Focused on AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, data-driven solutions, predictive systems, NLP, computer vision, and emerging AI applications. Ravenclaw – Open Innovation & Full-Stack Technology: An open platform for innovative ideas involving web applications, mobile applications, cloud technologies, IoT, full-stack development, smart platforms, and interdisciplinary technological solutions. Participants will work in teams of 2–4 members to analyze problems, design solutions, build working prototypes, and present their innovations before evaluators. The hackathon aims to promote innovation, technical excellence, collaboration, entrepreneurial thinking, and real-world problem solving among students. Hogwarts Legacy 5.0 will be conducted on 29–30 September 2026 at the ESEC Convention Centre. Participants will compete for a ₹30,000 prize pool, along with trophies, certificates, swag packs, and an internship opportunity at ADHOC Softwares for outstanding participants. With the tagline “Where Wizard-Level Code Meets Cyber & AI Mastery,” Hogwarts Legacy 5.0 is more than a competition—it is a platform for young innovators to Code. Innovate. Defend. Transform. and build solutions capable of creating meaningful real-world impact.
