Event Overview
ROBOSIST 2026 is a National-Level Robotics & AI Hackathon organized by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology.
The hackathon provides students with an opportunity to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems using Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, IoT, Embedded Systems, Digital Twins, and Mechanical Engineering.
Participants will work in teams, develop an innovative solution or prototype, and present their idea and technical implementation before an expert judging panel.

Develop intelligent solutions for battery monitoring, prediction, management, and safety.

2. Smart Logistics & Warehouse Automation
Develop intelligent systems for automated material handling, logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations.

- RFID-Based Inventory Management
3. AI-Powered Autonomous Safety & Digital Twin
Develop AI-based systems for safety monitoring, fault detection, predictive maintenance, and digital-twin applications.

4. Industry 5.0 β HumanβAI Collaboration
Develop technologies that enable humans and AI-powered systems to work together safely and efficiently.

5. Search & Rescue Robotics
Develop robotic and AI-based solutions for locating, assisting, and rescuing people in hazardous or difficult environments.

- Hazardous-Environment Monitoring
Round 1 β Online Idea Submission
Teams must submit their project idea online before the registration deadline.
The submission should include:
- Problem Statement
- Proposed Solution
- Selected Theme
- Technology Used
- Working Principle
- Expected Outcome
- Applications
The submitted ideas will be evaluated by the judging panel. Selected teams will qualify for Round 2.
Round 2 β Final Hackathon
Shortlisted teams will participate in the final round at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology.
Teams will be expected to:
- Demonstrate their prototype, model, or simulation.
- Explain the working principle.
- Present the technical implementation.
- Explain applications and benefits.
- Answer questions from the judges.
Teams are encouraged to develop a working prototype wherever possible.

Rules & Regulations
- Open to students from recognized educational institutions.
- Each team must consist of 3 to 5 members.
- Each team must nominate one Team Leader.
- Projects must be original.
- Plagiarism or copying of existing projects may result in immediate disqualification.
- Projects must align with one of the official hackathon themes.
- Participants must follow safety and ethical standards.
- Teams must submit the required information within the specified deadline.
- Participants must adhere to the allotted presentation and demonstration time.
- Judges' decision will be final.
- Registration fee of βΉ200 per team is non-refundable.

Short Description for KnowAFest
ROBOSIST 2026 is a National-Level Robotics & AI Hackathon organized by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. The event challenges students to develop innovative real-world solutions using Robotics, AI, Automation, IoT, Embedded Systems, Digital Twins, and related technologies. The hackathon features five themes: AI-Powered Battery Intelligence, Smart Logistics & Warehouse Automation, AI-Powered Autonomous Safety & Digital Twin, Industry 5.0 β Human-AI Collaboration, and Search & Rescue Robotics. Selected teams will participate in a final prototype demonstration and presentation. Exciting cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.
