About Event

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET) proudly announces XPLORE’26, its National Level Technical Symposium, scheduled to take place on 8th August 2026 at the Loyola Campus, Nungambakkam, Chennai. This flagship event brings together brilliant young minds from all over the country and is designed to foster innovative thinking, technological excellence and collaborative learning.

Unlike a regular academic gathering, XPLORE’26 is a full-scale celebration of innovation, technology, creativity and peer-to-peer collaboration. The objective of the event is to create a platform where students can not only put their knowledge to the test, but also grow by interacting with like-minded peers and engaging with experts from the industry. Carefully curated by the students and faculty of LICET, each activity and event is designed to challenge participants in one or more dimensions – logical thinking, problem-solving, technical depth, real-time communication, innovation and teamwork. Whether you consider yourself a hard-core coder, a creative designer, a curious engineer or a future entrepreneur, XPLORE’26 offers a stage for you to shine.

Events

ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE (TREASURE HUNT) : Navigate through cryptic clues across dimensions. Only the most resourceful spider will unravel every puzzle and claim the ultimate cash prize.
BEYOND THE WEB : Paper Presentation provides a platform for students to present their research, innovative ideas, and technical solutions. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their work before a panel of experts, demonstrate their knowledge, and compete with fellow innovators.
MULTIVERSE BREACH (CAPTURE-THE-FLAG) : Capture the Flag — breach defences, decode secrets and exploit vulnerabilities before anyone else. A cyber-warfare arena for elite hackers.
SPIDER-SENSE (TECHNICAL QUIZ) : Three rounds across the multiverse — outwit AI image challenges, picture puzzles and rapid-fire trivia. Only the sharpest minds survive to the final round.
SPIDER-SPRINT (CODING BATTLE) : Race the clock across three rounds — from MCQ screening to a live on-stage coding finale. Swing through algorithms at lightning pace.
WEB-FORGE (WEBAPP BUILDING) : Prompt, build and pitch a website with Google AI Studio — race an image-recreation challenge, then design under a live client curveball. Creativity, functionality and pitch all count.
