The Faculty Development Programme on “Evolving Large Language Models and Generative AI into Agentic Architectures” aims to equip faculty members with a strong foundation in modern AI systems, from Large Language Models to autonomous agentic frameworks. The programme covers the fundamentals of transformer-based LLMs, the generative AI layer, and advanced techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for memory and reasoning. Participants will gain insights into how organizations like OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Meta AI are shaping next-generation AI systems. It further explores agentic computing, where AI systems act autonomously to achieve defined goals. The programme concludes with discussions on future frontiers, ethical considerations, and research opportunities in advanced AI architectures.
