About Event

Protospark 2026 is a premier technical innovation fest organized by Velammal Institute of Technology, Chennai, with the vision of fostering creativity, research orientation, and industry-driven problem solving among engineering students. Centered around the theme “Designing the Ideas That Shape Tomorrow,” the event serves as a dynamic platform for students to conceptualize, prototype, and present innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

The fest brings together young innovators from diverse engineering disciplines to collaborate, compete, and showcase projects aligned with emerging industry trends and societal needs. Protospark focuses on transforming theoretical knowledge into practical applications through working models, prototypes, and technology-driven solutions.

The event covers a wide spectrum of domains including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Industry 4.0, Information and Communication Technology, Clean and Renewable Energy, Smart Transportation, Healthcare Technologies, Agriculture and Food Technology, Waste Management, Climate Change and Disaster Management, Construction Technology, and Smart Education.

Over two days, participants will engage in project demonstrations, technical evaluations, and expert interactions with academicians and industry professionals. Projects will be assessed based on innovation, technical feasibility, scalability, sustainability, and real-world impact.
