All India Seminar on Distributed Generation & Power Quality: Navigating Grid Integration Challenges 2026

About Event

The increasing adoption of Distributed Generation (DG) such as solar PV, wind turbines, and small-scale cogeneration is revolutionizing modern power systems. While DG enhances energy accessibility, sustainability, and resilience, its integration into the traditional grid presents complex power quality (PQ) challenges that cannot be overlooked.
As inverter-based and intermittent generation sources proliferate, issues such as voltage instability, harmonic distortion, flicker, frequency deviations, and protection miscoordination are becoming critical concerns for utilities and system operators. The lack of centralized control and the bidirectional nature of power flows demand advanced control strategies, real-time monitoring, and robust grid codes to maintain power quality within acceptable limits.
