About Event

Atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) analyses the concentration of elements in a liquid sample based on energy absorbed from certain wavelengths of light (190 to 900 nm). Metals are introduced in aquatic systems as a result of the weathering of soils and rocks, from volcanic eruptions, and from a variety of human activities involving the mining, processing, or use of metals and/or substances that contain metal pollutants. Exposure of living organisms to heavy metals leads to numerous health hazards.

Workshops
