Welcome to Codewars '25, an electrifying 12-hour hackathon where innovation meets the galaxy far, far away! Exclusively focused on the ever-evolving field of Robotics, this event invites tech enthusiasts, developers, and Star Wars fans alike to harness the Force of their creativity and technical prowess.
This is no ordinary hackathon—it's a Star Wars-themed odyssey where Robotics takes the center stage. Whether you're building droids, crafting Jedi-inspired solutions, or channeling your inner Sith Lord to solve complex problems, Codewars '25 promises an unforgettable experience filled with groundbreaking ideas and interstellar camaraderie.

GUIDELINES
1. Code of Conduct:
Respect all participants, organizers, and mentors. Harassment or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment.
Report any violations of the code of conduct to the designated organizers.
2. Participation Rules:
Teams must consist of three participants. Team members should be formed in advance.
Participants can only be part of one team.
Each team must have a team leader responsible for submitting the final project.
3. Hackathon Theme:
The hackathon theme is “Starwars : May the Force be with You”. Projects can align with the theme to qualify for judging.
Judges will assess creativity of the project and effectiveness of the presentation
4. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights for projects developed during the hackathon belong to the respective creators.
Projects must be original. Use of plagiarized content will result in disqualification.
5. Submission Requirements
All projects should be submitted by 6:30pm . Late submissions will not be entertained.
Teams must submit:
A brief description of the project.
The source code in a public repository or a zipped file.
A short presentation demonstrating the project.
6. Resources and Support
Volunteers will be available for technical guidance and brainstorming throughout the event.
Participants must bring their own devices, such as laptops and chargers (ref next section) wifi network access will be provided
Required Components Microcontrollers: Arduino, Raspberry Pi
Sensors: Ultrasonic, IR, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Temperature, Humidity
Actuators: DC Motors, Servo Motors
Software Tools: Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV
Power Supply: Batteries, Power Adapters
Chassis and Wheels: For robot mobility
Camera Module: For computer vision tasks
IoT Modules: For smart home automation and environmental monitoring
Tips for a 12 Hour Hackathon
Preparation: Ensure all necessary components are available and functional.
Team Size: Limit teams to 3 members for efficient collaboration.
Judging Criteria: Focus on innovation, feasibility, and presentation.
Mentorship: Provide mentors for guidance and support.
Time Management: Allocate time for coding, testing, and presentation preparation.
