About Event
About Nexathon'25:
Nexathon'25 is a premier 24-hour hackathon organized by the departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology at KCG College of Technology, Chennai. The event assembles students from various engineering disciplines to brainstorm, prototype, and present their brilliant solutions to real-world problems and future challenges and is designed to foster innovation and technical leadership.
Alongside the Hackathon, Nexathon'25 will also hold a Project Expo for school students (Grades 9 - 12), a great chance for young innovators to present their creative projects and get direct exposure to the ever-evolving world of engineering and problem-solving.
With up to ₹1 Lakh cash prizes, internship opportunities, and special awards, Nexathon'25 is not just another competition but a launchpad for young tech leaders!
Initial Registration will be Rs.250 and if quallified The final Registration is Rs.750 per team.
Themes of Nexathon'25:
Challenges participants to explore cutting-edge technological domains.
Compete in one of five dynamic themes addressing real-world challenges.
Encourages students to develop innovative and impactful solutions.
Event Schedule:
Date: April 4th and 5th.
Venue: KCG College of Technology, Karapakkam, Chennai.
Start Time: April 4th- 8 am.
End Time: April 5th- 12 pm.
Prize Distribution: Immediately after the conclusion of the event.
Eligibility:
Open to students that are currently studying across all colleges/universities.
Teams must consist of 2-4 members.
Inter-college team members are NOT allowed.
Inter-department teams are allowed to participate.
Rules and Regulations:
Each team must consist of 2 to 4 members.
A team can apply for only one theme and must submit their project under that category.
A participant can be part of only one team. If found in multiple teams, the participant and all associated teams will be disqualified.
Once a team is registered with specific teammates, no changes are allowed.
All submissions must be original work.
Teams are responsible for bringing their own hardware components (if required). Software tools must be legally sourced.
Participants must maintain decorum and professionalism throughout the event. Any form of misconduct will lead to removal.
Teams must submit their final project before the given deadline to be considered for evaluation.
In case of any difference of opinion, conflicts, or disputes, the judges’ decision will be final and binding.

AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning)
Cyber Security
Open Innovation: Any idea that does not fall under the above four themes can be registered here.
Note: Participants can apply to any one of the above themes that suits best your idea/problem statements.
