SCHEMCON 2024: Students’ Chemical Engineering Congress (SCHEMCON) is an annual event organized by the Institutes having Student Chapter (SC) of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) under one of its Regional Centers (RC). It serves as a premier platform for Chemical Engineering students, offering opportunities to explore, learn, and gain insights into the ever-expanding realm of chemical engineering. SCHEMCON-2024 marks the 20th annual session and is jointly organized by IIChE RGIPT Student Chapter, the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Jais (RGIPT) and the Amethi Regional Center of IIChE.
The cornerstone of chemical engineering has always been innovation - the relentless pursuit of novel solutions to address societal needs while minimizing environmental impact for sustainable development. Today, however, this pursuit is taking us into uncharted territories, where traditional boundaries are blurred, and interdisciplinary collaboration is paramount. As we convene at SCHEMCON-2024, we embark on a journey of exploration towards embracing the dawn of a new era in the field of chemical engineering, where we delve into the frontiers of science, technology, and sustainability to pave the way for a brighter tomorrow. The theme for this year’s conference, “New Paradigms of Chemical Engineering” encapsulates the essence of this transformative era and resonates deeply with the dynamic landscape of chemical engineering, which is constantly evolving in response to emerging challenges and opportunities
