ABOUT THE COURSE:
Water scarcity poses a significant challenge for millions across the globe, impacting both ecosystems and agriculture. The shortage of fresh water has direct and indirect effects on several cities. The inadequate infrastructure and unregulated water pollution contribute significantly to this issue. Several treatment technologies such as membrane-based technology offer a solution by converting brackish water into freshwater, suitable for both industrial and public consumption. This technology is versatile and can also be employed to convert river water or wastewater into freshwater, addressing the fact that approximately 80 percent of domestically used water ends up as wastewater in water bodies.
