PHOTOTHON 2021 INFO:

Student will propose divergent ideas based on any one of the problem statements described below.
Problem Statements (select any one)
1. Photonics for security: participant will propose a more reliable and safe security system using the advanced imaging technology or propose how to improve the existing security photonic system.
2. Photonics for biology, aviation and space applications: Participant will propose how to improve the existing photonic technology in any one of these field or how to use the photonic technology for particular application in any one of these field.

It’s a two stage process:

Stage A: Student will submit the idea in a prescribed format along with a self-declaration statement justifying the novelty of the idea.
Deadline: 3-15th February 2021


Stage B: Based on the screening process top 25% of the submitted idea will be selected for final presentation.
Final presentation will also contain a short 5 minutes video (The video should be limited to 100MB) strictly related to the idea explanation and its feasibility for large scale implementation

The results will be announced during the colloquium on 19th feb 2021

The final presentation will happen on 20th feb 2021 in front of expert judges in the field and winners would be getting exciting cash prizes.

Student can participate individually or form their own team and a team can have maximum of three members and in case of team each member has to register individually.

II. Domain of application
III. Proposed solution (200 words)
IV. Expected impact and conclusion (100 words)

Your idea will be judged on the basis of:
1. Feasibility
2. Impact
3. Scalability
4. Originality
